Book Launches
Upcoming Book Launch, October 29th, 2024
The new book “Anthology: Writers of progressive Opinion” will be launched on October 29, from 3 – 7 pm at the Dollar Clubhouse. There will be a meet and greet, and the chance to hear the eight progressive writers of the book. The writers included are: Bill Balin, Bob Berke, Marilyn Davin, Jon Foyt, Katha Hartley, Karl Livengood, Wendy and Pete Peterson, and Bertha Reilly. The writers will read a paragraph or so of their article and answer questions. Refreshments will be served and the book will be for sale. Everyone is invited to attend at no charge.

Upcoming Book Launch, December 3rd, 2024
Longtime PWR member and prolific author, Jon Foyt, will be launching his latest book, “When Headliners Retire” on December 3rd, from 11 to 2 in the solarium at the Dollar Clubhouse. Wine and cheese will be served. Everyone is welcome to attend and to celebrate Jon’s 21st book.
“When Headliners Retire” is about retirement - who retires - retiring pitfalls – who are your new neighbors in retirement? There’s no going back to careers, to the life you lived during your career; things are different in retirement, retirement attracts interesting folks—the headliners—into what becomes this fun place called Sunset Gardens overlooking the Golden Gate.
